Civil engineering students from Wolverhampton University were tasked with designing solutions for three areas of the city.
They were to find a way to provide access for 7,000 people each day to the i54 development, improving the existing Stafford Street/ Ring Road junction and the junction at Birmingham Road/ Ring Road.
Students' ideas will be presented to the public on May 5 at the city centre campus from 5.30pm.
Peter Mills, principal lecturer in civil engineering at the university's school of technology, said: "This year the theme of all projects have been transport related."
