Ruth Lue-Quee, an Educational Consultant in the West Midlands, based in Wolverhampton, has set up an online platform

Ruth Lue-Quee, from Wolverhampton, now works as an education consultant, as well as being a mother of one.

To help others who are learning at home, she has set up an online platform to help parents with children aged up to seven years old.

She says her goal is to help as many parents and carers as possible.

“As a mum and an experienced teacher, I understand how hard it is being at home all day trying to entertain babies and toddlers,” she said.

“And now, with the added restriction of lockdown, to also engage young children in learning activities at home.

“I have set up an online platform to use my expertise to support fellow parents in a friendly, accessible way, completely free of charge.

“I share daily ideas via my page that parents can do at home.

Growing

“And, throughout lockdown, I am also going live every weekday, at 8pm, to support parents further.”

During the live streaming sessions, Ruth will be answering questions and sharing activities, which they can carry out with their little ones the next day.

All of the activities Ruth shares are simple set ups using items from around the home, meaning they are accessible for as many people as possible.

She has also set up a Facebook community group where parents can engage and interact with each other, while receiving expert support from educators.

Ruth added: “I have had some amazing feedback from both parents and teachers.

“There are currently more than 13,000 followers across both Instagram, Facebook and the Facebook community page, which is growing every day.”
