Kingswinford school confirms Covid-19 case

A Kingswinford school has confirmed a positive coronavirus case in Year 9.

Summerhill School announced the positive case on Monday and said all Year 9 students will have to self-isolate until October 12.

A statement on the school's website says: "We have been advised this morning that there has been a confirmed positive case of Covid-19 with a Year 9 student at the school.

"Therefore, from today, all Year 9 students must stay at home until Monday 12th October 2020.

"They will need to self-isolate during this time and should not be mixing with people outside of their household or out in any social gatherings.

"This is to help prevent community transmission."
