Wood Green Academy sent a letter to parents yesterday, saying all pupils in the Sixth Form have to self-isolate until October 2 after a confirmed coronavirus case.

It comes after a letter was sent out on Saturday advising all Year 8 pupils to self-isolate after a positive case until September 28, and on September 14 all Year 9 pupils were sent home until September 23 following another positive Covid case.

The latest letter says: "We have been advised that there has been a confirmed case of Covid-19 within the school.

"We have identified that your child may have been in close contact with the affected case.

"In line with the national guidance we recommend that your child now stays at home and selfisolates, returning to school on Friday 2nd October 2020. Your child must not go to school or any public areas (this includes undertaking any part-time work): your child must remain at home."
