Stourbridge Glass Museum gifted pink puzzle artwork in memory of renowned engraver
Artwork created by an internationally renowned engraver has been donated to Stourbridge Glass Museum in her memory.
Glass engraver Nancy Sutcliffe died on September 23 after a cancer battle. Since then the museum in Wordsley High Street has been gifted a stunning piece titled Pink Puzzle by her family.
It was previously on display at nearby studio Blowfish Glass UK.
Stourbridge Glass Museum stated in the British Glass Foundation Journal: "We are honoured to receive a stunning piece titled Pink Puzzle, gifted in loving memory of Nancy by her family Dennis, Ferielle, and Chris. This generous donation, supported by Blowfish Glass UK Ltd. Blowfish Glass Art ensures Nancy’s work will continue to inspire future generations.
"Pink Puzzle is a luminous sculpture of solid crystal, its brilliant optics catching and reflecting the light to reveal Nancy’s masterful engraving. Shimmering pink silver leaf reflects through the piece; a signature touch of Nancy’s unique style.
"We are deeply grateful to Nancy’s family for sharing this extraordinary work. Visitors can now experience Pink Puzzle as part of the museum’s growing collection, celebrating the life and legacy of a remarkable artist."

Another of her works titled MOTHS is due to be donated to The Studio at Corning Museum of Glass in New York after being shown by Habatat Gallery.
Nancy, of Madley in Herefordshire, was often inspired by Middle Eastern art.
She was named Wimbledon Championship Artist in 2018 together with glassblower Katherine Huskie.
