Fancy a love bite??Breeding time at Dudley Zoo

Hello, tiger – these amorous lions are welcoming visitors in the West Midlands as part of a new breeding programme which keepers hope will be a roaring success and lead to the pitter patter of tiny paws soon.
The highly endangered Asiatic lions are in residence at Dudley Zoo in Castle Hill as part of the international project to protect the species which has seen its numbers plummet in the wild.
Nine-year-old male lion Mwamba arrived at Dudley Zoo from Paignton earlier this summer and has been settling into his surroundings ever since.
It is hoped he will breed with the zoo's female pair Asha and Kyra to help with the breeding programme.
