Dudley drug dealer caught flushing evidence down toilet

When he was detained, his hands were still wet from stuffing the items down the toilet.

A man has pleaded guilty to his involvement of running a drug line in Dudley.

The County Lines Taskforce (CLTF) at West Midlands Police has been investigating a drug line known as the 'Huz' line which supplied Class A drugs including crack cocaine and heroin within the area.

Officers from the CLTF found that a mobile phone was used to broadcast messages between June and October advertising drugs for sale.

The team identified Ali Khalid as operator of the drug line, and following investigative work he was found to have been supplying the drugs.

The CLTF went to his address on Cook Avenue on Monday, and while at the front door, Khalid was found to be stuffing drugs and the drug line phone down the toilet.

He then flushed it just as officers entered.

When he was detained, his hands were still wet from stuffing the items down the toilet.

Officers had to pull the pipes apart and found bags of heroin and crack cocaine stuffed inside the drainage of the toilet along with the drug line phone.

Following searches of the property around £6,000 in cash was recovered along with crack cocaine, heroin, and the drug line phone.

Khalid was charged and appeared before Wolverhampton Magistrates on Tuesday, where he pleaded guilty.

The 33-year-old pleaded guilty to being concerned in the supply of crack cocaine, being concerned in the supply of heroin, and two counts of acquiring, using or possessing criminal property.

Khalid was remanded in custody and will be sentenced later this year.
