Digbeth Dining Club brings Summer Food Festival to McArthurGlen West Midlands

The popular street food festival is open until the end of the summer season

McArthurGlen West Midlands has launched its hotly anticipated Summer Food Festival, in partnership with Digbeth Dining Club.

The festival, bringing together a diverse selection of street food traders at the Cannock-based designer shopping outlet, is now open each week from Thursday to Sunday, from midday until close, and it will run until Bank Holiday Monday August 31.

David Jackson, centre manager at McArthurGlen West Midlands, said: “The festival promises an exciting culinary experience throughout the summer, with new vendors announced each week via McArthurGlen West Midlands’ social media channels.

“We’re delighted to continue our local collaboration with Digbeth Dining Club, and continue to develop exciting employment opportunities locally, whilst also giving our guests a fantastic summer dining experience.”

Digbeth Dining Club said the collaboration follows the same model as other DDC venues with seven street food traders rotating weekly.

The shopping destination, which celebrated its fifth anniversary earlier this year in April, has also celebrated its commitment to the community and environment through its relationship with Mill Green Nature Reserve - an 18 hectare haven for wildlife and walks situated next to the centre.

Photographs of the reserve, by Matthew Carver, have been turned into displays at the centre for guests to enjoy and find out more about the natural environment next door and its importance.

Mr Jackson said: “We are incredibly proud of our relationship with Mill Green Nature Reserve and the local councils who help support and protect this wonderful community asset.

“The reserve is a place of natural beauty, wellbeing and wildlife, and its proximity to our centre makes it a special part of the McArthurGlen West Midlands experience.

“We were delighted to welcome Richard Brooks of the Chamber and Matthew Carver as we celebrate and showcase the reserve through photography and print for our guests and colleagues to enjoy.”

The centre remains committed to strengthening its relationship with Mill Green Nature Reserve, in collaboration with Cannock Chase District Council and Staffordshire County Council, as it moves beyond its five-year anniversary, to ensure the reserve continues to be recognised and enjoyed by future generations.

McArthurGlen West Midlands is open from 10am to 8pm Monday to Wednesday, 9am to 9pm Thursday to Saturday and 10am to 6pm on Sundays.
