Police arrest man found with 9-inch butchers knife in Wolverhampton city centre

Police arrested a man in Wolverhampton city centre yesterday (Saturday 30 May) after he was found to have a 9 inch butchers knife on him.

Officers chased the young male after he reacted to police and fled down an alley.

He was cut off and tackled by officers at the otherside.

After searching him, it was revealed that he had a butchers knife with a 9 inch blade.

The force posted on X: “GTF T5 chased this young male in Wolverhampton city centre yesterday after he reacted to Police and fled down an alley.

“He was cut off and tackled by officers at the otherside. A search of his person has revealed a butchers knife with a 9 inch blade.”
