Man charged over £400 coat thefts at Wolverhampton store

A 32-year-old man has been charged following a series of thefts from a Wolverhampton retail store.

West Midlands Police arrested the suspect at the Next store on St John’s Retail Park on Monday, March 16 morning.

The arrest was made in connection with multiple incidents in which coats worth more than £400 were reported stolen.

Officers took the man into custody, where he was questioned over four separate thefts said to have taken place between February 13 and 19.

Harpreet Singh, of no fixed address, has since been charged with four counts of theft. He was due to appear in court on 17 March.
