Appeal launched following motorcyclist injured in collision with car in Stafford

An appeal has been launched by police after a motorcyclist was taken to hospital after a collision with a car.

Staffordshire Police has launched the appeal after the incident on Sunday afternoon, which happened on Weston Bank and saw a grey Tesla model three involved in a collision with a grey Super Duke GT motorbike.

The male motorcyclist was treated at the scene and taken to hospital with serious injuries.

The force said that inquiries into the incident were continuing and has asked for anyone with any information to get in touch.

A spokesman for Staffordshire Police said: "We are appealing for information after a motorcyclist was injured in a collision with a car in Stafford.

"We were called at 2.30pm on Sunday to Weston Bank, close to Weston Hall.

"A grey Tesla model three was involved in a collision with a grey Super Duke GT motorbike.

"Officers attended along with colleagues from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, West Midlands Ambulance Service and the Midlands Air Ambulance.

"The motorcyclist, a man, was taken to hospital by land ambulance with serious injuries.

"He remains in a stable condition in hospital.

"We assisted in recovery of the vehicles and informed highways due to oil in the road.

"Our inquiries are continuing.

"Anyone with information, CCTV, dashcam or doorbell footage should call us on 101 quoting incident number 423 of 22 February.
