Man, 19, arrested after woman sexually assaulted at Walsall bus stop
A man has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault after an incident near a bus stop in Walsall town centre.
West Midlands Police said the incident happened while a woman was waiting at a bus stop on St Paul's Street on November 21, with the 19-year-old man being arrested on Friday morning after a public investigation.
The force said the man would be questioned while investigations continue.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "A man is in custody after a woman was sexually assaulted in Walsall.
"It happened while she was waiting at a bus stop in St. Paul's Street on November 21 at around 8am.
"We appealed for the public’s help with the investigation earlier this week, and the man, aged 19, was arrested this morning. He will be questioned on suspicion of sexual assault.
"Our investigation is ongoing and anyone with information about what happened should contact us on 101 quoting crime reference number 20/450851/25."
