Suspect charged with fraud and burglary following break-in in Dudley

A man has been charged with several offences following a break-in in Dudley.

Glen Yates was charged with burglary dwelling and theft and fraud by false representation following a break-in in Stourbridge on November 16.

The 47-year-old was due at Wolverhampton Magistrates Court on Friday. No details are yet available of his appearance.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We’ve charged a man with burglary and fraud after a break-in at an address in Dudley. 

"Glen Yates, aged 47, of Oldbury, has been charged with burglary dwelling and theft and fraud by false representation. 

"It follows an investigation by officers after an address on Hungary Hill in Stourbridge was broken into on November 16 at around 4am. 

"Bank cards were also stolen that were later used in stores.

"Yates has been remanded in custody to appear at Wolverhampton Magistrates’ Court today (28 Nov)."
