Teenager is stabbed near Great Barr prompting police investigation and appeal for witnesses

A teenager has been stabbed and injured during an incident near Great Barr.

The 15-year-old youth was found hurt in Old Walsall Road in Hamstead near Great Barr at around 9.15pm on Friday(31).

West Midlands Police said the victim was taken to hospital with "injuries which are not believed to be life-threatening".

"We're carrying out inquiries to establish exactly what happened and who was involved.

"We're keen to hear from anyone who was in the area at the time, and anybody who was travelling through and has dashcam footage," the force stated.
