Drug dealer jailed for supplying crack cocaine and heroin in Stafford

A Stafford man has been jailed for six years after being caught with illicit drugs in the town.

Byron Gordon, aged 44, was arrested for supplying heroin and crack cocaine after officers stopped a car he was travelling in Holmcroft in Stafford on May 19 this year.

Staffordshire Police said officers from its major and organised crime proactive team spotted a known class A drug user getting into a Volkswagen Golf driven by the defendant in the town.

When Gordon stopped the car in Charles Cotton Street in Holmcroft and went inside a shop where he was spoken to and searched by officers who found a mobile phone after following him.  They also searched the vehicle and Gordon's two passenger seizing heroin and mobile phones. 

Gordon pleaded guilty to the offences and was locked up for six years at a hearing held at Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court on October 27.
