Third arrest after Birmingham shooting left teenager with serious injuries

A third man has been arrested in connection with a shooting incident which left a teenager with serious injuries.

West Midlands Police confirmed it had arrested a 23-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder and violent disorder, following on from Lamar Anderson and Jeheim Wilson being arrested in relation to the shooting, which happened on August 2.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We have made another arrest after a shooting in Balsall Heath in August.

"A 15-year-old boy was left with serious injuries after he was shot in George Street Park on the evening of August 2.

"A man, aged 23 has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and violent disorder. He has also been arrested for failing to stop and dangerous driving for a separate matter.

"Two men, Lamar Anderson, aged 21 and Jeheim Wilson, aged 24 have already been charged in relation to the shooting."
