Man arrested after being found with knife and suspected Class A drugs in Dudley

A man has been arrested after he was stopped by police who found a knife, bolt cutters, torches and suspected Class A drugs.

West Midlands Police said officers acted on their suspicions when they spotted a man loitering in a Dudley street.

Spotting a man acting suspiciously on Milking Bank, just after 2am on Wednesday morning, officers from the Dudley Response Team headed over to investigate.

Carrying out a stop and search their suspicions were confirmed as they discovered a knife, bolt cutters, torches, and suspected Class A drugs.

A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of possession of a knife, bladed article in a public place, possession of Class A drugs, and going equipped.

He remains in custody as police enquiries continue.
