Stafford boy, 17, appears in court charged with weapon offences

A 17-year-old boy has appeared in court charged with various offences.

The boy, from Stafford, who can't be named for legal reasons, has been charged with making threats to kill, threat to damage/destroy property and two counts of possession of an offensive weapon in a private place. 

The boy appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre this afternoon and was remanded into custody.

He is next due to appear at Stafford Crown Court on September 26.

A Staffordshire Police spokesperson said: "The boy, from Stafford, who can’t be named for legal reasons as he is under 18, has been charged with making threats to kill, threat to damage/destroy property and two counts of possessing an offensive weapon in a private place.

"He has appeared at the North Staffordshire Justice Centre this afternoon (Friday 12 September) and was remanded into custody."
