Man charged with attempted murder after Wolverhampton park shooting
Police officers investigating a shooting in Wolverhampton have charged a man with attempted murder.
Kieran Thomas was charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent after a man was shot in Phoenix Park last month.
The 27-year-old appeared before magistrates in Walsall and was remanded into custody to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on October 7 at 10am
A teenager who was also arrested has been bailed pending further enquiries.
A spokesman for West Midlands Police said: "We are continuing our investigation into the shooting, which happened in the early hours of August 26, and are keen to hear from anyone who might know more about what happened.
