Police launch appeal around suspected arson on grassland near Dudley road
An appeal for information has been launched by police after a bushfire in Dudley which is suspected to be arson.
Four crews from West Midlands Fire Service were called to reports of a fire in a field on New Rowley Road, which is on the Dudley/Sandwell border, just after 6pm on Monday.
West Midlands Police have now determined that the fire is suspected to be arson and has asked for anyone with any information to get in touch as soon as possible.
A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "We were made aware of a bushfire suspected to be arson, at New Rowley Road, Dudley, yesterday (25 Aug) just after 6.30pm.
"We would ask anyone with any information to get in touch with us by calling 101, or using the Live Chat option on our website and quoting log number 3867 of 25 August.
