Wolverhampton BMW driver ran red light and crashed into van while double the drink drive limit
A man who drove through a red light and hit a van while twice the drink drive limit admitted to it at the scene, a court heard.

Asher Wright, 24, and of Lawnside Green in Wolverhampton, owned up at the scene of the crash on Wednesfield Way, on June 3.
Dudley Magistrates Court heard on Thursday that Wright's BMW 1 Series collided with a Mercedes van at around midnight.
Prosecutor Mrs Maggie Meakin told the court that police were called to the scene where Wright had remained.
"Mr Wright was quite candid at the scene. He was responsible for the accident, he had gone through a red light."

When his breath was tested by officers, he was found to be over the drink drive limit. The lowest reading was of 78 microgrammes of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath - the legal limit is 35mcg per 100ml.
The magistrates handed down a fine of £120, ordered Wright to pay costs of £85 and a victim surcharge of £48, and banned him from the roads for 20 months.
