Jailed: Boyfriend raged as woman and daughter defended themselves with kettle of hot water

A mother and her teenage daughter desperately fought off an attacker using their fists and a kettle of boiling water, a court has heard.

The mother’s then boyfriend, Clive Raymond, aged 52, ransacked her flat in West Bromwich and then began beating her 17-year-old daughter.

Wolverhampton Crown Court was shown CCTV footage of Raymond, of Villa Street, Birmingham, punching the girl as her mother tried to separate them.

The girl then ran into the flat and returned with a kettle of water and threw it over Raymond’s shoulder and neck.
