West Midlands Police has been searching for Dante Kalsi since a spate of cash-in-transit robberies in the West Midlands in 2019 and has now launched a fresh appeal to track him down.

Kalsi, aged 23 from Walsall, is being hunted in relation to a recent shooting in Poplar Road, Bearwood, that police are treating as attempted murder.

The victims, aged 19 and 20, were left seriously injured following the shooting on March 31. Nobody has been charged over the attack.

Officers arrested two men, aged 22 and 24, on suspicion of violent disorder but bailed them pending further enquiries.

Meanwhile the force still wants to question Kalsi in relation to 11 robberies where more than £320,000 was stolen across the Black Country and Birmingham.

Between April and July 2019, a gang assaulted and threatened security drivers with weapons as they targeted shops, post offices and other premises.

Two members of the gang, Giovani Garrick and Keenan Anderson, have already been jailed over the raids in West Bromwich, Handsworth and Birmingham.

The force has previously appealed for information on Kalsi's whereabouts but has so far failed to track him down.

Detective Inspector Lewis Cook, from the force's CID, said: "We urgently need to trace Dante Kalsi and would urge anyone with information to contact us via Live Chat, or by calling 101."

Anyone with information is asked to contact police, quoting crime reference 20SW/170818Y/19.
