Mark Lloyd was left in a critical condition after an attack during a street robbery in Aldridge Road, in Perry Barr, in September 2019.

The 39-year-old, from Kingstanding, died in hospital over a week later.

Shannon Cronin, of Clyde Street, in Cradley Heath, was found guilty of manslaughter after a trial at Birmingham Crown Court. She had also been charged with robbery and fraud.

On Monday, Cronin, 24, was jailed for five years for manslaughter. She also received a four year and six month sentence for robbery and 18 months for the fraud charge – both of which will run concurrently.

Her co-accused, Sean Sweeney, of Oscott Road, in Perry Barr, had previously pleaded guilty to manslaughter, robbery and fraud.

The 27-year-old was jailed for 10 years for manslaughter. He also received six years for robbery and 12 months for fraud – both to run concurrently.

After his death, in a statement, Mr Lloyd’s heartbroken family said: “Mark was a much-loved father, brother, son, partner and friend to so many people.

“He has been taken from us in the most unfair of ways. He will be missed so much by us all.”
