The usually busy Bristol Road was closed as detectives looked to preserve any potential evidence.

A blue forensics tent was positioned over evidence on the road as detectives and officers searched nearby hedgerow.

The man was found in the newly developed Pebble Mill site that used to be the location for the BBC studios, but is now home to Birmingham’s Dental Hospital and a Bupa care home.
