Car firm brothers deny fraud at Wolverhampton garage

Two brothers have denied fraudulent trading at a Wolverhampton car garage.

Prithpal and Jaspal Virdee, aged 41 and 25, will appear before Wolverhampton Crown Court on September 26 ahead of a trial.

It is alleged the pair deceived customers by hiking prices for engine recon work and seizing vehicles when customers refused to pay the inflated bills.

Both men appeared at Walsall Magistrates Court yesterday as a first appearance in the case.

Prithpal, of Finchfield Gardens, Wolverhampton, denied 17 charges while Jaspal, of Richmond Road, Wolverhampton, denied two charges.

The dates of the alleged offences date from 2013 to 2017.

The brothers were given unconditional bail ahead of their next court appearance.
