Cannabis worth £150k found at Walsall house

A haul of cannabis worth approximately £150,000 was found after a house was raided in Walsall.

Roughly 200 plants were discovered at a property on William Street in the Butts area of the town after a noise complaint from residents.

Neighbours complained of a fan "always on" all day and night, with nobody seen entering or leaving.

Officers made the bust just after 11pm on Sunday.

A 29-year-old man who was arrested on suspicion of cultivating class B drugs has now been released, West Midlands Police said.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Police said: "A cannabis factory with approximately 200 plants found at a property on William Street in Walsall..

"A 29-year-old man who was arrested has been released with no further action."
