Man arrested after stabbing outside Tipton pub

A man has been arrested after another man was stabbed outside a pub in Tipton.

Emergency services were called to the Royal Oak pub, in Dudley Port, at around 2am on Saturday, March 2.

A brawl outside the pub led to one man being left with stab wounds.

A police cordon was put up outside the pub throughout the day while forensics scoured the scene.

Police have confirmed that they arrested a 39-year-old man on suspicion of attempted murder, and he has now been released pending further investigation.

The victim remains in hospital in a stable condition.

Detective Inspector Jackie Nicholson said: “We are still trying to identify all of those involved in the disorder, and have examined footage relating to this incident that has been circulated on social media.

“We would appeal for anyone who has images or video from the night, or who has other information, to get in touch with us via live chat."
