Woman denies £45k disability fraud

A woman has appeared in court charged with fraud after allegedly claiming almost £45,000 in disability benefits.

Rebecca Peach has denied two counts of fraud by allegedly claiming disability living allowance when her capabilities had improved between March 2011 and November 2017, Walsall Magistrates' Court heard.

Peach, 49, of Lodge Street, Willenhall, was charged with fraudulently claiming a total of £44,866, and was bailed to appear at Wolverhampton Crown Court on February 14.
