The 34-year-old barber was fatally stabbed during the early hours of December 30 in Springfield Drive.

They were seen walking down Springfield Road at around 1.20am on December 30.

A spokesman for West Midlands Police said they are not suspects in their murder investigation.

Martyn Turley, aged 57, from Tipton, has been charged with Mr Roe's murder. He has been remanded in custody and will stand trial in February.

Detective Inspector Caroline Corfield, from the homicide team, said: "The charge was a significant step forward in this investigation but I still need to speak to anyone who was in the area on the Saturday night into the Sunday morning – including these two men.

"You will know if this is you. You aren’t in any trouble but I believe you may have some really important information.

“I am also still keen to hear from anyone who was in the Britannia pub in Halesowen Street, Rowley Regis, where Mr Roe visited shortly before his death or anyone who was en route from the pub to the where Mr Roe was killed on Springfield Drive."

Meanwhile a fundraising page set up in memory of Mr Roe has raised almost £5,000.
