Kobe Murray is accused of stabbing the 24-year-old in the chest at the club at around 1am on Sunday.

The former Stourbridge FC youth player, who lived in Brierley Hill, died later in hospital.

Murray, 19, of The Broadway, Dudley, appeared at Birmingham Magistrates Court this morning.

He was remanded in custody and will appear at the city's crown court tomorrow.

Two other men, aged 19, were also arrested in the hours after the killing on suspicion of murder.

They have now been released without charge.

Det Ch Insp Edward Foster, from the Homicide Team, said: "If you saw what happened or have any information, no matter how insignificant it may seem, could prove crucial to the enquiry.

"The family of Ryan are being kept informed of the latest development in our investigation and our thoughts remain with them."
