Man, 55, appears on attempted murder charge

A man accused of the attempted murder of his former partner following an attack in her car has appeared in court.

Ralph Foster, aged 55, is accused of trying to kill Shanoya Watson, a staff nurse at Russells Hall Hospital, in her silver Citroen car on Sunday in Himley Road, Dudley.

Foster, of Bayswater Road, Dudley, is also charged with wounding, possession of a knife, aggravated vehicle taking, interfering with a vehicle in a way that endangered other road users and driving without a licence and insurance.

He was remanded in custody to appear at Stafford Crown Court on August 18. An application for bail was refused by Cannock magistrates.
