James Brindley: Teenager and man remanded in custody over Aldridge High Street murder

A 20-year-old man and a youth charged with murdering 26-year-old James Brindley in Aldridge have been remanded in custody until September.

Aaron Kahrod and a 17-year-old boy, who cannot be named, have been told they are likely to stand trial at Birmingham Crown Court next year accused.

Mr Brindley, an aspiring model and entrepreneur, was stabbed once in the heart as he walked home in Aldridge late on June 23.

A court spokesman said Kahrod, of Walsall Road, Aldridge, and the teenage defendant appeared before a judge on Monday and were remanded to reappear for plea and trial preparation on September 29.
