Boy, 15, charged with murder of Birmingham stab victim

A 15-year-old boy has been charged with murdering a man following a fight in Birmingham.

The victim, a man aged 23, suffered fatal stab injuries after the attack in Kingstanding on Saturday.

He has not being named at this stage.

The teenager, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was arrested on Saturday following a fight at an address in Twickenham Road at around 12.56pm.

The 15-year-old will appear at Birmingham Youth court this morning.

Two men, aged 20 and 24, who were also arrested in connection with the investigation have been bailed pending further inquiries.

Detective Inspector Jim Munro said: “Our investigations continue and I’d urge anyone who witnessed the stabbing, or has information they think could help the enquiry, to get in touch if they have not yet spoken to the police."
