An 18-year-old man needed hospital treatment after he was attacked in Pendeford on Monday afternoon.

Now police in the Low Hill area of the city have revealed on Tuesday that two teenagers were stopped and knives seized.

There is no indication that the seizures are connected to Monday's attack.

Low Hill Police tweeted that a 15-year-old girl was arrested for being in possession of a seven-inch bladed kitchen knife in Pendeford.

They later confirmed a further three-inch bladed kitchen knife was also seized in the area as a 16-year-old boy was apprehended by police.

The seizures came after the 18-year-old man was taken to hospital after he was injured near Dovecote Primary School on Monday afternoon.

His injuries were described as 'superficial' by police.
