Police released the footage that had been shown to the jury during the lengthy trial, which shows killer Andy Ly advancing towards the schoolboy.

The trial ended today. Two men were yesterday found guilty of violent disorder and a third was today found not guilty.

Ly, from Ladywood, Birmingham, has admitted the manslaughter of the teenager who was killed by a single stab wound to the leg outside the Smethwick Home Guard and Old Comrades Club on Oldbury Road in July last year.

An estimated 300 youngsters were packed into the club on the fateful night, coming from across the Black Country and Birmingham after the joint birthday party was advertised on Facebook.

During the trial it was claimed that a group of men were looking for Ben inside, after he was alleged to have made a remark about a West Bromwich gang – the 'Rad Gang'.

But later that night a fight broke out between Ben's friend, who cannot be named, and a group of youths.

Several witnesses reported seeing the schoolboy in amongst the group trying to protect his friend, which is when Ben became the target of attackers.

One witness told the court he saw Ben on the ground being punched and kicked by a man believed to be Ly.

Tahj Mills, aged 18, of Waterside Street, West Bromwich, and Jordan Campbell, 18, of Portland Road, Edgbaston, were both found guilty of violent disorder at Wolverhampton Crown Court yesterday.

There was shouting from the public gallery as Campbell's conviction was announced.

Both have now been remanded in custody until a sentence hearing.

Ly had a plea of manslaughter accepted, despite having been on trial for murder for five weeks. He also pleaded guilty to one count of violent disorder. His charge of murder was ordered to lie on file.

Omar Robinson, of Ladywood, admitted violent disorder. He was also on trial for murder, but eventually told by the judge that he had no case to answer.

A jury unanimously found Tobias Blake, 20, also from Ladywood, guilty to one charge of having an offensive weapon and violent disorder earlier this week. Dale Reid, 18, of Rodney Close, Birmingham, had pleaded guilty to violent disorder before the trial. Sentencing is expected to take place on September 20.

Kwamae Phillips, 18, from Edgbaston and Aaron Parkins, 19, whose address cannot be reported for legal reasons, have been found not guilty of violent disorder. Parkins had been the final defendant.

Investigating officer Det Insp Gary Plant said today: "The murder of little Ben was a despicable crime with a tragic and unnecessary loss of life.

"Together with his friends and hundreds of other teenagers, he attended a birthday party that was advertised via social media websites.

"As a consequence, a small minority of people singled out Ben and his friends and attacked them, all because they were not local to the area."

And it can today be revealed that West Midlands Police enlisted the help of the FBI when trying to solve the case.

More than 600 hours of CCTV footage was pored over by police, with one pitch-black image enhanced by the FBI.

Ben's distraught relatives today said no family should go through what they have.

His mother Grace Morutare paid tribute to her son saying it had been the 'toughest time of our lives' and said the family will 'always love and miss our Ben dearly'.

Ben, of Holden Crescent, Coalpool, Walsall, died from the stab wound to his leg, with witnesses in the trial claiming up to 80 men chased him before he was killed.

He was attending an 18th birthday party at the club, and was found on grass nearby.

He later died at Birmingham Children's Hospital.
