Cancelled trains blamed on West Midlands Railway staff shortage

Some trains in the region are being cancelled due to a staff shortage at West Midlands Railway.

Passengers for Wolverhampton Walsall and Lichfield are being advised to check before setting out due to cancellations at Birmingham New Street on Sunday evening.

Services affected include Wolverhampton - Birmingham New Street, Birmingham New Street - Walsall, and Birmingham New Street - Lichfield Trent Valley. On X West Midlands Railway posted: “@WestMidRailway Due to train crew availability, there will be some cancellations through Birmingham New Street this evening.

“ Please check before you travel.”
