Walsall Debenhams closure date revealed as shutting down sale continues

The closing date for Debenhams' Walsall branch has been revealed.

Debenhams has confirmed the store in Old Square will finish trading for good on May 2 .

It is among 27 of its stores in England and Wales that will shut for the final time on May 2 and May 4.

Shoppers will find discounts of up to 80 per cent off fashion and home and up to 70 per cent off beauty and fragrance as the last remaining stock is cleared.

Debenhams’ remaining stores, which include Lichfield, Merry Hill and Telford, are expected to close by May 15.

The business, which collapsed last year, reopened its remaining stores with the lifting of Covid restrictions on non-essential retail on April 12.

The company says all of its stores have been made Covid-secure, with appropriate hygiene and social distancing measures in place.
