Britain's Got Talent star Amy Lou puts on a big show to help Wednesbury coffee group keep dancing
There was dancing, coffee, cake and a taste of America as a local girl came home to put on a big show at the venue that made her.

Britain's Got Talent star Amy Lou put on a big show at Wednesbury Town Hall on Thursday as the guest of honour at Let's Dance Again's third anniversary celebration.
The singer, who said the town hall was where she played her first big show, sang a selection of her favourite crowd-pleasers, including songs by Whitney Houston and Beyonce and her showstopper "Proud Mary" by Tina Turner.

It was a chance for the 600 people attending the event to celebrate together and also acknowledge the success of Tipton-born Amy, who has been performing in the United States and on cruise ships, a fact that was marked with decorations on the big cake.

Amy Lou said it was a huge honour to be there to perform and said she would always appreciate the support of the people and community which made her.

She said: "I was in America and Mexico two days ago and I'm still very jetlagged and was wondering how I was going to get through this, but the minute I got there and saw everyone, I just felt great and remembered I was back at home.

"That's something that means more to me that anything and while I appreciate the international side of things, being back in my home and everyone being able to understand my Tipton accent is really wonderful.

"This was my first big stage where I performed three years ago and I will always be so grateful to everyone for the opportunity they gave me, which led to Simon Cowell and BGT, so I feel like I owe them a lot."
