Bridgnorth Italian Moto Fest: Road closures, supercars, motorcars, scooters, fundraiser and everything you need to know

Italian supercars are set to take over Bridgnorth on Sunday (September 7), as the highly popular Italian Moto Fest returns to the town for the seventh year.

The festival will see some of the most stylish and powerful road cars in the world fill Bridgnorth High Street in High Town on Sunday, September 7.

The event will see the high street closed to traffic from 7am until 4pm.

Locals living in Cartway and Friars Street will still be able to access their properties via Postern Gate, the town council said.

The festival begins at 10am, when all the vehicles will take their positions along the high street,

In previous years, the event saw more than 130 supercars crammed into High Town, ranging from Ferraris and Lamborghinis – through to Alfa Romeos, Lancias and Abarths, and organisers say this year they have some surprise rarities on display.

And it is not just four-wheeled Italian classics on display. Motorcycles and scooters will also be on show including Ducatis; Aprilias and Moto Guzzis, with Whitburn Street hosting the usual strong showing of immaculately prepared Lambretta and Vespa scooters.

This year, the event is raising funding for both the Midlands Air Ambulance and the Bridgnorth Foodbank, with visitors asked to bring donations for the foodbank.

Organiser David Morris said the event is completely free for everybody to attend and is suitable for all ages, although vehicle owners have paid to display their cars, with money going towards the chosen charities.
