Susan Boyle's Brum date in doubt

Doubts remained today over Scottish singing sensation Susan Boyle's appearance in the first of this year's Britain's Got Talent live tour performances, just hours before the gig in Birmingham was due to start.

A spokeswoman for the tour said it had not been confirmed either way whether the 48-year-old will perform at the Birmingham National Indoor Arena tonight.

Boyle was admitted to the Priory after coming second in the TV contest suffering from "exhaustion".
