Let's look back on how Birmingham said goodbye to the Prince of Darkness

Last year, thousands of Ozzy Osbourne fans lined the streets of Birmingham as the Prince of Darkness made his final journey through his home city.

Many congregated at Broad Street on July 30, 2025 - exactly a year ago today.

It was an emotional day for the city and many fans across the world.

We were there at the procession, and thought we’d reshare how the UK’s second city said goodbye to an absolute legend.

The funeral procession passed by Black Sabbath Bridge, which was transformed into a giant shrine featuring hundreds of flowers and tributes.

Fans flocked to the area and chanted of 'Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy' while Broad Street bars blasted out Black Sabbath hits.
