Scores of Staffordshire bull terrier owners and their beloved pets took to the grounds of a country estate for the Big Staffy Stroll.
The event at Weston Park on the Shropshire/Staffordshire border on Saturday (July 18) was arranged by tourist organisation Visit Staffordshire to celebrate its new mascot.
‘Staffy’ is the county’s new visitor mascot and is described as an “adventure hero and storyteller [who] has been taken into people’s hearts through the Staffy Trail”.
The art and history adventure trail came to an end on Saturday, and to celebrate the trail, Staffies and Staffordshire, dog lovers and their pets were invited to come together for what was dubbed “the region’s biggest ever Staffordshire Bull Terrier dog walk” – although all dogs and dog lovers were welcome.
