“We’ve never had anything quite like them.”

Two rare Chinese vintage chairs that once graced a home in the famous US town Palm Beach are for sale at a Bridgnorth antiques centre.

The Qing dynasty horseshoe-backed elmwood chairs are available at the Old Mill Antiques Centre and owner John Ridgway says they are bound to attract a good deal of attention.

“These rare Qing dynasty chairs are just superb, we’ve never had anything quite like them in the centre before and they will certainly catch the eye of potential buyers,” said John.

“In great condition, they are extremely elegant and would look lovely in any home.”

He said the chairs had been bought at auction at a “mansion house” in Palm Beach, Florida, some years ago.

The chairs are priced at £1,250 (the one with the central motif) and £950 respectively.

Prospective buyers can find them at the Old Mill Antiques Centre, in Mill Street, Low Town, seven days a week, from 10am until 5pm.
