Actors and film crews spotted in Stourbridge for TV show telling story of famous Cadbury's chocolate empire
Actors were seen walking up the street by the historic Quaker Meeting House
Actors in Victorian costumes and film crews have been spotted in a Stourbridge street this week.
A local resident captured the action on camera in Scotts Road on Monday (July 13).

The cast and crew were believed to be filming a period drama about the family behind the famous Cadbury’s chocolate bar.
Filming for the new U&Original show, entitled The Cadburys, was taking place at Wordsley Manor last week and is believed to have moved onto the Quaker Meeting House in Scotts Road this week.

The show is based on Deborah Cadbury’s 2011 book Chocolate Wars and it follows brothers Richard and George Cadbury in 1860s Birmingham as they set about turning their family’s failing cocoa business into one of the world’s most beloved confectioners.
The series, written by Chloë Mi Lin Ewart, is being produced by Fable Pictures, in association with actor Freddie Highmore’s Alfresco Pictures, with the Bates Motel star among the executive producers.
The cast features Harry Gilby as George, Toby Regbo as Richard, Jessica Barden as Maria and Pearce Quigley as John - who was a devoted Quaker whose faith greatly influenced the direction of the family business enterprise.
The wider cast includes Ben Hardy as Francis Fry, Joanna Scanlan as Dorothy Adlington, Poppy Gilbert as Elizabeth Adlington and many more, with Tom McKay and Jill Robertson directing the series.
Film crews have also been spotted at Stourbridge Rugby Club in Bridgnorth Road, Stourton, which they are thought to be using as a base.
Chillington Hall, near Wolverhampton, is also believed to be among the local filming locations for the series, which is set to launch on free-streaming service U in 2027.
