New images have shown the scale of the damage caused by a massive fire on farmland in south Staffordshire.
The images show a large area of burnt out grass and surrounding trees on the land, which is on Morfe Lane in Enville, just off the A458 Bridgnorth Road.
The fire happened on Friday afternoon, with a smoke cloud visible from as far away as Wall Heath and Kingswinford, while Staffordshire Fire & Rescue confirmed it has sent five fire trucks to the scene.
The service confirmed the fire on Morfe Lane was affecting 20 acres of field as well a tractor and later confirmed it had been extinguished at around 7.15pm, with crews dampening down afterwards.
A local resident, who asked not to be named, said he had reported the fire and seen how much it had lit up.
He said: “I was sitting at home when I smelled burning outside, so went outside and saw some flames on the field.
“Suddenly, there was a gust of wind and it just went up like that.
“It was pretty shocking, but I called the fire service and they did really well to control it and put it out.”
