It was a morning of climbing, crawling and sliding through mud as hundreds of charity fundraisers took on a unique obstacle course at Sandwell Valley Country Park.
The Sandwell Pretty Muddy 5K brought together participants of all ages on Saturday, as runners tackled a challenging course around the park featuring a series of obstacles, including a plunge into a muddy pit near the finish line.
The annual event, organised by Cancer Research UK as part of its Pretty Muddy series, raised more than £250,000 for life-saving cancer research.
Many participants embraced the occasion by dressing in pink and colourful outfits, adding to the fun atmosphere of the day while supporting a vital cause.
