'Major disruption' after lorry overturned at Wednesbury roundabout near M6
Motorists faced 'major disruption' on a busy Wednesbury road after a lorry overturned on the roundabout.
An overturned lorry partially blocked the roundabout at M6 Junction 9 where it meets the A461 in Wednesbury this evening (March 6). One man was assessed by ambulance services at the scene.
The A461 Bescot Road is closed towards the M6 J9 roundabout while the incident is dealt with.
West Midlands Roads warned motorists that there were delays of 20 minutes or more being reported on several approaches, including Broadway, Pleck Road and Wood Green Road in a post on X.
Drivers were advised to plan ahead, allow extra time and consider alternative routes.
A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a lorry that had overturned at the junction of the A461 and M6 at 2.38pm, one ambulance attended the scene.
"We assessed one patient, a man, who was able to be discharged at the scene."
