'It's scary to think about' - Stourbridge community shares shock and well wishes for three-year-old child struck by car
A community has offered their best wishes after a three-year-old child was struck by a vehicle.
West Midlands Police were called to Worcester Street, Stourbridge, just before 1pm this afternoon after receiving reports that a child had been struck by a vehicle.
The child is reported to have suffered from a head injury due to the crash and has since been taken to the hospital.

The driver remained at the scene to help with police enquiries, with the West Midlands Police lifting the cordon at around 6.30pm today.
Now, residents of the community have offered their support for those affected by the crash, also giving their best wishes for the child's recovery.
Mary William-Morris, aged 54, of Stourbridge, said: "It's horrible. I have two children myself, so it's really scary to think about.
"I really hope the family are okay and the child makes a fast recovery. It's such a trying time."
The police cordon created an amount of traffic in the region; however, residents have said that 'It's more important' for the police to do their investigation.
Adrian Boyce, aged 61, also of Stourbridge, said: "There was a bit of traffic at the time, but the police and ambulance are doing important work.
"It's more important that they find out what happened and support the family than ease a bit of traffic. I hope the child and their family are okay."
Worcester Street was closed off between Mary Stevens Park and Baylie Street; however, the road has reopened as of around 6.30pm.
West Midlands Ambulance Service has been approached for further information.
