Police appeal to identify man who 'stole £2,000 from elderly victim' in West Brom
Police have released photo of a man they hope to identify a man suspected of stealing £2,000 from an elderly man in West Bromwich.
West Midlands Police officers are investigating reports that a man approached the victim in his 80s on High Street, West Brom, between 11.30am and 11.50am on October 29.
The victim noticed food had been sprayed onto his jacket with a man attempting to help clean it.
During the interaction, an envelope containing cash was accidentally dropped.

The suspect is then reported to have stolen the money, around £2,000, and fled the scene.
A spokesperson for West Midlands Police said: "We would like to talk to the person in the images as we believe he could have vital information to help with our investigation.
"Anyone with information is asked to contact us on 101, quoting crime number 20/425578/25. Or alternately call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
